iPadOS on the Switch OLED
iPadOS, booting natively on a Nintendo Switch OLED.
This project boots iPadOS 26 and 27 on a Nintendo Switch OLED, running directly on the console’s hardware. The kernel
is Apple’s XNU, built from the source Apple publishes, with drivers written for the Switch’s chips. Everything above
the kernel is Apple’s own iPadOS, which your Mac downloads from Apple while it builds the install image.
You start it from hekate, the way people boot Android or Linux on a Switch. It lives on its own partition of the SD
card, and the installer leaves the rest of the card alone.
